PRIMARY ONE- Lesson Title and our learning focus. |

Lesson One: I am Me. ‘God made every one of us to be different and special. He wants us to take care of ourselves and to be good to ourselves.’ |

Lesson Two: My Body. ‘Jesus was a baby, just like you were a baby. God loves all of us, just like he loved Jesus.’ |

Lesson Three: I have a Family. ‘Families are all about love. Jesus’ family loved each other just like your family do.’ |
|
Lesson Four: I have Friends. ‘Jesus asked us to love one another. When you are kind to your friends you are doing what Jesus asked you to do.’ |

Lesson One: Growing and Changing. ‘We thank God for our amazing bodies and minds. We know we need to look after ourselves by eating well, sleeping and keeping ourselves safe.’ |
|
Lesson Two: Keeping Safe. ‘Jesus wants us to love ourselves and to love others. He asks us to take care of each other. Think of all the ways your family takes care of you. Help us to keep ourselves safe and to be careful not to hurt anybody else.’ |

Lesson Three: My Family. ‘Thank God for all your relations and all those who love you. Showing love in families is great. Thank you, God, for the gift of my family.’ |

Lesson Four: I can Make Choices. ‘God wants us to look after ourselves too and to make good choices for our bodies and minds.’ |

Lesson One: I am Unique. ‘Thank God for all of the special gifts he has given you. Thank God for making you special. Thank God for the wonderful gift of you.’ |

Lesson Two: My Body. ‘God made you exactly as you are and he loves you. He made everyone to be unique and different and he loves us all.’ |

Lesson Three: My Family Loves Me. ‘Think of the people you live with. One by one, think of each member of your family. Think of how much you love them and how much they love you.’ |

Lesson Four: My Neighbourhood ‘We thank God for all the people in our neighbourhood. Help us to be good neighbours to each other.’ |

Lesson One: The Wonder of Life. ‘Thank you, God, for babies. They bring so much love and joy to families. We were all babies once. Jesus was a baby too.’ |

Lesson Two: We have Feelings. ‘God knows us and loves us. He knows when we are upset and he invites us to ask him for help when we need it.’ |
|
Lesson Three: Friendship and Fairness. ‘Jesus called us to be kind and loving to one another. We ask him to help us as we work to be better friends to each other.’ |
|
Lesson Four: Decisions and Consequences. ‘Help us to consider others. Help us to make good choices. And when we make poor choices, help us to apologise and to try again.’ |

Lesson One: Growing and Changing. ‘Growing is part of living. We all grow and change as we get older. God made us all to grow at our own pace.’ |

Lesson Two: Making the Right Choices. ‘Every day we are faced with many decisions: what to eat, what to wear, where to go, who to speak to, who to play with.’ |

Lesson Three: Positive Role Models. ‘Invite the children to think of the characteristics of a role-model.’ ‘Talk about how they can be role models in their homes or communities.’ |

Lesson Four: Why Have Rules? ‘Rules are everywhere: on the road, in carparks, in playgrounds, at the cinema. There are laws in our country that make sure we are safe and protected.’ |

Lesson One: Feelings. ‘God gave us feelings so we could understand ourselves and the world better.’ |

Lesson Two: Bullying - Part One. ‘By trying to understand why people sometimes bully or are unpleasant to each other, the children may come to an understanding of different points of view.’ |

Lesson Three: Bullying- Part Two. ‘It is important to emphasise the benefit of communication with each other and with trusted adults as most problems will be sorted by talking them out.’ |

Lesson Four: Environmental Care- Part One. Greta Thunberg and Pope Francis met in 2019. They discovered that they had a lot in common. Pope Francis- Laudato Si. |

PRIMARY SEVEN- Lesson Title and our Learning Focus. |

Lesson One: Environmental Care- Part Two. (Continuation of last lesson in P6/Fourth Class.) ‘Just as we have a relationship with each other, with our families and friends, we also have a relationship with the planet.’ |
|
Lesson Two: Emotions and Relationships. ‘Invite the children to brainstorm ways to handle peer-pressure.’ ‘Sometimes, because of fear of being made fun of or looking silly, we feel under pressure to do things we don’t want to do. God wants us to love ourselves as well as loving others.’ |
|
Lesson Three: Safe Internet- Part One. My Internet Usage Invite the children to brainstorm on what they use the internet to do: • Play games • Find information • Social media • Send messages • Watch short videos, etc. Invite them to think of one good thing about each of these and one potential danger. |
|
Lesson Four: Safe Internet- Part Two. ‘But there is another side to it (the internet). It can be dangerous and we can use it to hurt other people. Everything on earth is a gift from God and he wants us to be kind and responsible in everything we do. We don’t like having our feelings hurt. We all want to stay safe. We ask God to help us to use the internet in a way that is good for everyone. |
