A regional video has been developed to raise awareness of the importance of the flu vaccine and encourages parents to provide consent for their children to be immunised by the school nursing team attending school in the first term of the academic year.
Evidence shows that delivering vaccinations in schools reduces health disparities by making access to vaccines easier for all, for example parents don’t need to take time off work to book appointments and children who are
not registered with a GP are included.
