Our Primary 4 children are invited to attend their next ‘Do this in Memory’ mass at 12 o’clock this Sunday in St. Patrick’s church. Bring your baby Jesus figure from your cribs for a special blessing.
The Blessing of the Bambinelli-Baby Jesus, is a tradition which began in Rome. Each year on the third Sunday of Advent (Gaudete Sunday), the Holy Father invites children to bring the baby Jesus from the family nativity scene to Mass for a blessing.
We would like to invite all those who attend our weekend Masses at Three Patrons Parish to take part in this blessing by bringing your baby Jesus crib figure with you to Mass this weekend.
After the blessing the children are invited to wrap up their baby Jesus and to place him under the Christmas tree at home. Then, on Christmas morning the Bambinelli is the first Christmas gift to be unwrapped and placed in the family crib.
