Dog Owners

8th Sep 2020

Dear Parents,

It has come to my attention that a growing number of parents are bringing their dogs on to the school grounds during morning drop off and afternoon pick up times.

While I am a dog owner myself, I understand that there are many people who have a fear of dogs no matter how big or small. It is also acknowledged that contact with dog faeces can result in a disease called Toxecariasis which can cause abdominal pain, pneumonia, asthma and even blindness especially in young children.

It is for these reasons that I would ask you to refrain from bringing pet dogs onto the school grounds unless it is absolutely necessary.

Thank you for your understanding and support with this matter.

Yours Sincerely

Mr Eamonn Devlin
