Summer message from Mr Devlin

30th Jun 2020

Dear Boys and Girls,

I hope you are all well and looking forward to a nice summer holiday. Today is officially the last day of the school term and under normal conditions you would have had a half day and Monica and the canteen ladies would have given you a lovely sausage and chips before you went home. For me, I always thought that the last day of June was one of the best days of the whole year because the whole summer was in front of us to enjoy. However, it feels different this year because the children have been off school for so long. Although myself and the school staff have been in school every day since the school closed it just hasn’t been the same without you. The corridors have been quiet, the classrooms have been empty and the playgrounds have been silent.

However, after the summer holidays I will look forward to when we will all return to school. I can’t wait to see your smiles, hear your laughter once again and listen to your stories of all of the wonderful things that you did during your time off school. There will be so many things to look forward to when we come back to school such as First Holy Communion for our P4 children and welcoming all of our new P1 children who will be excited to start their school journey with us. I will also miss all of our P7 boys and girls who are now ready to begin another exciting journey at their new schools. They will look forward to studying new subjects and making new friendships and achieving their full potential in the years that lie ahead.

During the summer holidays I hope that you have lots of fun with your families and friends and get out and about in the fresh air. Remember to keep safe and always do as your parents tell you.  Myself and all of our school staff will look forward to seeing you all at the start of the new term. Take care and God bless.
